Helpful Hints

1.  There are TONS of fun and free patterns online.  Check out the links on the pattern information page!

2.  KEEP up with your yarn info so you will have the laundering instructions to send with your hats.

3.  Local hobby stores have weekly sales and coupons online that you can print.

4.  Padded envelopes or brown envelopes are perfect for mailing your cap.

5.  Place your caps in a ziplock bag with the completed "Hat Form" before mailing.  (This will allow easy viewing for our recipients.)

6.  Remember some of your creations will be displayed at local cancer centers for patient viewing.

7.  16 inch circle needles are GREAT for hat patterns knitted in the round to provide seamless hats.

8.  Some people are allergic to wool so it is better to avoid yarn that contains wool (wool is also scratchier)

9.  If you can't find a pattern here that you like...call me and I’ll send you one!

10.  You can knit or crochet a cap in just a couple of  hours...that is 4 nights of the news or a movie!

11.  Mom keeps a gallon ice cream bucket with a project in it in her car so she always has something to work on. Whether she’s waiting at the doctor’s office or the car wash.....she is prepared!

12.  Embellish your hats with beads.
